Whale Watching Tours
Whales of Xunaa (Hoonah) is a locally owned and operated Marine Wildlife Excursion operating out of Hoonah Alaska, 1.4 miles from Icy Strait Point. We are officially launching our services at the end of September 2025 and will set up online booking services for the 2026 whale watching season at that time. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us directly to book a spot for next year.
OUR TOURS
We are a small boat experience rated to carry a maximum of 6 passengers (this includes babies sitting on your lap). Our vessel is a 27’ Safeboat with twin Yamaha 250s with a covered back deck to shield you from the elements but still giving you a great view.
The price per person is $190, all inclusive, no added fees later on.
And yes Humpback Whales sightings are guaranteed!
In addition to Humpback whales, our guests will typically see Sea Otters, Sea Lions, Porpoise and occasionally Killer Whales.
Not only will our passengers spot humpback whales, they will most likely encounter playful otters, bears along the shore, eagles in the trees, steller sea lions hanging around the channel buoys, and more!
